Our guest speaker this year will be David R. Mitchell, who has been manager of the City of Cleveland’s twelve cemeteries for more than 25 years. The oldest of these is the Old Erie Street Cemetery, 1826, opposite Progressive Field on East 9th Street, and the newest is the Cleveland Memorial Gardens, 1999, near Highland Park on Green Road. Mitchell was in charge of the Memorial Gardens expansion which added 50,000 graves.
